Basketmouth drops revelation about Shatta Wale in new interview in Ghana

Currently, in Ghana, Nigerian comedian Basketmouth is preparing for his upcoming stand-up comedy show, titled “Baskemouth Unprovoked,” which will take place on April 8 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

On the HitzFm Daybreak Show, Basketmouth spoke about an array of issues bothering the upcoming show and showbiz-related issues.

On this score, he eulogised Shatta Wale for giving him a free verse some time ago when he dropped a track (he had previously indicated on 3FM that he used to be a rapper before he transitioned to comedy).

The veteran comedian and entertainer mentioned that Shatta Wale told him to retain everything, including the royalties, and that he won’t charge him or take anything from him.

Additionally, Basketmuth appreciated the Ghanaian Dancehall artiste effusively for his modest actions toward him. He said;

“Me and Shatta Wale, the way he responded….Oh yes I’ve known him for a while but we’ve never had the opportunity to really speak properly.

And I told him that, dude I’m working on this album I would like to drop and I sent him the song, he loved it, he was done with it under few hours he had given me and he nailed it”

And the guy said something quite interesting, you know what? It’s for free, you don’t need to pay me any royalty or anything take it it is yours. Nobody has ever done that before and to think the he is Ghanaian brother it made me humble” – he said.
