Thames started acting when he was 11 years old, but his passion of performance began when he was a young child when he took up ballet. After auditioning, he was invited to join a prestigious international dance company, where he spent four years performing on tour as the youngest member of the company.

In the film, when a wall-mounted phone suddenly begins to ring, Finney realizes that the voices he’s hearing belong to the killer’s previous victims, who are determined to spare him the same fate. “The Black Phone” was directed and executive produced by Scott Derrickson, known for his work on “Doctor Strange,” “Sinister,” and “The Exorcism of Emily Rose.” Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions served as the producer.
