Calum Scott is a talented singer and songwriter from England. He was born on October 12, 1988, to Kevin Scott and Debbie Burton in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. He was raised alongside his younger sister, Jade. His parents got divorced when he was just two years old, and as a result, his father moved to Canada. His music career started on August 15, 2013 when he won a talent competition called Mail’s Star Search.
After that, he decided to join a tribute band for Maroon 5, but unfortunately, they ended up breaking up at a later time. He and his sister Jade both auditioned for season 9 of Britain’s Got Talent on April 11, 2015. Unfortunately, Jade did not make it through the selection process. His audition with Robyn’s ‘Dancing on My Own’ song was so impressive that the judges awarded him a Golden Buzzer, securing him a spot in the live shows. His performance impressed the judges so much that they immediately advanced him to the semi-finals. They were amazed by his talent and thought he sounded like a seasoned professional.
