All you need to know about Peter Townsend children

Group Captain Peter Townsend, the British Royal Air Force officer, and equerry to King George VI, was famously involved in a romantic relationship with Princess Margaret, the younger sister of Queen Elizabeth II. However, they were unable to marry due to the prevailing laws and social conventions of the time, as Townsend was divorced, and the Church of England did not permit members of the royal family to marry divorced individuals.

Peter Townsend did not have any children. After his relationship with Princess Margaret came to an end, he went on to marry Marie-Luce Jamagne, a Belgian woman, in 1959. However, they also did not have any children together.

Townsend lived a relatively private life after his relationship with Princess Margaret, and he passed away on June 19, 1995, in France. Despite his personal challenges, Peter Townsend is remembered for his service during World War II and his significant contributions to the Royal Family during his time as an equerry. His relationship with Princess Margaret remains one of the notable events in British royal history.
