American actress, comedian, and producer Aubrey Plaza has passed away.
In addition to her role as April Ludgate on Parks and Recreation (NBC, 2009–2015), Aubrey Plaza has appeared in episodes of Legion (FX, 2016).
Aubrey Plaza is the offspring of attorney Bernadette Plaza and financial advisor David Plaza.
She was born in Delaware, and her family eventually settled in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. Both of her parents are from Puerto Rico, and she also has an elder sister.
Aubrey’s parents always encouraged her to pursue acting. When she was just 10 years old, they pushed for her to enroll in acting classes at the Delaware Young Actors Theater.
She stayed there until 2002, when she finished high school.
Aubrey’s parents have always encouraged her to pursue whatever interests her.
They have been to numerous premieres and award ceremonies honoring Aubrey’s career, including the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards, where she received the Best Comedic Performance award for her work in Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.
Aubrey says that she got her work ethic and respect for labor from her parents.
