Bobby Hurley is a former professional basketball player and current college basketball coach. He was born on June 28, 1971, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Hurley is widely known for his successful college basketball career at Duke University, where he played point guard from 1989 to 1993. During his time at Duke, Hurley was a key part of two national championship-winning teams in 1991 and 1992.

Following his college career, Hurley was selected as the 7th overall pick in the 1993 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings. Unfortunately, his professional career was cut short due to a serious car accident in 1993, which affected his performance on the court.

After retiring as a player, Bobby Hurley transitioned into coaching. He has held various coaching positions, including serving as an assistant coach at Wagner College and the University of Rhode Island. Since 2015, Hurley has been the head coach of the Arizona State University men’s basketball team.
