Children of Abraham

Abraham, a prominent figure in the Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, is considered the patriarch of the Israelite people. According to religious texts, Abraham had several children:

Ishmael: Ishmael was the son of Abraham and Hagar, the maidservant of his wife, Sarah. He is considered the ancestor of the Arab people and is regarded as an important figure in Islam.

Isaac: Isaac was the son of Abraham and his wife, Sarah. He is considered the ancestor of the Israelite people and plays a crucial role in the religious narratives of Judaism and Christianity.

Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah: According to the Bible, after Sarah’s death, Abraham married Keturah, and she bore him six sons.

It is important to note that the accounts of Abraham’s children may differ slightly in different religious traditions. In Islam, for example, Abraham’s first-born son is believed to be Ishmael, while in Judaism and Christianity, Isaac is considered the first-born and the chosen heir to Abraham’s covenant with God.
