Aerys II, also known as Aerys the Mad King, was a fictional character from the popular fantasy book series “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George R.R. Martin. He was the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros and the last Targaryen king to sit on the Iron Throne.
In the books and the television series “Game of Thrones” based on the books, Aerys II had three children with his sister-wife, Queen Rhaella Targaryen:
Rhaegar Targaryen: Rhaegar was the eldest son and the crown prince of the Seven Kingdoms. He was a skilled warrior and a gifted musician but was seen as an enigmatic and brooding figure. His relationship with Lyanna Stark was a significant event that played a crucial role in the events leading up to Robert’s Rebellion.

Throughout the series, Daenerys became a central character and gained prominence as a powerful and determined leader, seeking to reclaim the Iron Throne and restore her family’s dynasty.
