Everything you need to know about Grover Cleveland children

Grover Cleveland, the 22nd and 24th President of the United States, had five children:

Ruth Cleveland: Born on October 3, 1891. She was sometimes referred to as “Baby Ruth,” and there’s a popular, though disputed, claim that the Baby Ruth candy bar was named after her. Ruth passed away at a young age in 1904.

Esther Cleveland: Born on September 9, 1893, Esther has the distinction of being the only child of a president to be born in the White House.

Marion Cleveland: Born in 1895.

Richard Folsom Cleveland: Born in 1897. He was a lawyer and served briefly in the U.S. military.

Francis Grover Cleveland: Born in 1903. He became an actor.

Grover Cleveland married Frances Folsom in 1886 when he was in office, and she remains the youngest First Lady in history, being only 21 at the time of their marriage. Their family life and children were subjects of public interest during and after Cleveland’s presidency.
