Everything you need to know about Hades and Persephone children

In Greek mythology, Hades and Persephone had a few notable offspring, although their children are less frequently mentioned in ancient sources compared to other major gods and goddesses. Their children include:

Macaria: A goddess of blessed death. Not much is detailed about Macaria, but she is sometimes referenced in connection with peaceful deaths.

Zagreus/Dionysus: In some versions of the myth, particularly in Orphic traditions, Persephone gave birth to Zagreus, who would later become Dionysus, the god of wine, theater, and ecstasy. This is a more complex and less commonly mentioned version of the Dionysus origin story.

Melinoe: She is a chthonic nymph or goddess invoked in one of the Orphic Hymns and represented as a bringer of nightmares and madness. Melinoe is said to wander the earth every night with a train of ghosts, causing dread to anyone who sees her.
