Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and her husband Prince Albert had nine children:
Victoria, Princess Royal (1840-1901): She later became the German Empress and Queen of Prussia through her marriage to German Emperor Frederick III.
Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (1841-1910): He succeeded his mother as King Edward VII of the United Kingdom.
Princess Alice (1843-1878): She married Louis IV, Grand Duke of Hesse, and was the mother of Alexandra, the last Russian Empress.
Prince Alfred (1844-1900): He became the Duke of Edinburgh, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, and later succeeded his uncle as the Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.
Princess Helena (1846-1923): She married Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein and became known as Princess Christian of Schleswig-Holstein.
Princess Louise (1848-1939): She became known as the Duchess of Argyll after marrying the Duke of Argyll.
Prince Arthur (1850-1942): He served in the British Army and held various military positions.
Prince Leopold (1853-1884): He had hemophilia and died from bleeding complications after a fall.
Princess Beatrice (1857-1944): She married Prince Henry of Battenberg and became known as Princess Henry of Battenberg.
The descendants of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert went on to play significant roles in the royal families of Europe, often referred to as the “Grandchildren of Queen Victoria.”
