Linda Denise Blair is an American actress and activist. She is famous for her roles in many cult films and horror movies. She gained recognition for her performance as Regan MacNeil in The Exorcist (1973), which earned her a Golden Globe Award and a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 1974 Academy Awards. The film made her famous for her screaming abilities, and she played the same character again in the sequel released in 1977.
After that, Blair appeared in a few television films like Born Innocent, Sarah T. – Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic, and Stranger in Our House. She also starred in the 1979 musical Roller Boogie.

Blair has been married and divorced two times. She got married for the first time in 1984 to actor and musician Rick Springfield, but they ended up getting divorced just two years later. After that, she got married to an investment banker named William “W. K.” Howard in 1990. However, they also ended up getting divorced in 1994. She doesn’t have any children.
Blair has also talked openly about her past struggles with drug and alcohol addiction.
