Nana Agyemang Badu Duah, the husband of veteran actress Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu, has threatened to sue film production manager Kwame Borga for falsely accusing Ghanaian ladies.
In a general statement, Kwame Borga stated that due to the ineffectiveness of the Ghana Film Industry, Ghanaian female actors have turned to hookups.
This statement upset and irritated actress Mercy Asiedu’s husband, who called it slanderous.
The royal family has requested that the production manager remove the remark and apologize to Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu.
Meanwhile, Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu has referred to Kwame Borga as inexperienced, and making such a remark demonstrates his rank in the entertainment sector.
Nonetheless, the renowned actress summoned him to make a public apology to all Ghanaian actresses.
In defending himself, Kwame Borga further stated that he was not labeling Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu, but rather made a broad comment without knowing Nana Agyemang Badu Duah and the wife would take it personally.
He went on to add that his senior colleague was enraged by his statements since she had previously worked in the hookup industry.
Kwame Borga also reiterated that if not for the fact that Mercy Asiedu is married to a chief, he would have descended into the gutters with her.
This sparked an internet debate, and Oheneyere’s husband demanded that he provide an official apology to his wife.
He called onto a show where Kwame Borga made the comment and threatened legal action unless he retracted and apologized.
