Catherine Birnie, originally known as Catherine Margaret Harrison was two years old when her mother, Doreen, passed away while giving birth to her brother. Catherine’s father, Harold, couldn’t get in touch with her, so he made the decision to send her to live with her maternal grandparents. When Catherine was 10 years old, there was a custody dispute and Harold ended up getting sole custody of her.
Catherine and David first met when Catherine was 12 years old. They started dating when she was 14. Her father repeatedly begged her to break up with David because being with him always caused her to get into trouble with the local police.
