Mark Gil, whose real name was Raphael John “Ralph” Gil Eigenmann, was a Filipino actor. He was born on September 25, 1961, and sadly passed away on September 1, 2014. During the late ’80s to the early 2000s, Gil was frequently chosen to play the role of the main villain in popular Philippine action films.
Gil was famous for his portrayal of the main character in the highly praised movie Batch ’81 in 1982. He also played the role of Lorna Tolentino’s character’s former boss, lover, and killer in the drama-suspense thriller The Elsa Castillo Story: The Chop-Chop Lady. The movie’s script was based on real-life events. He has also been seen in a few drama series, with his most recent one being The Legal Wife on ABS-CBN. The show starred Angel Locsin and Jericho Rosales.
