Pamela Howard Shriver is a retired American tennis player who used to compete professionally. She now works as a tennis broadcaster, pundit, and coach. Shriver had an impressive career during the 1980s and 1990s, winning a total of 133 WTA Tour-level titles. These victories included 21 singles titles, 111 women’s doubles titles, and one mixed doubles title.
She has won a total of 22 major titles, with 21 in women’s doubles and one in mixed doubles. In addition, Shriver had the amazing achievement of winning an Olympic gold medal in women’s doubles at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
She teamed up with Zina Garrison to secure this remarkable victory. Shriver and her regular doubles partner, Martina Navratilova, achieved a remarkable feat in 1984 by winning all four major tournaments in a single year, making them the only women’s pair to complete the Grand Slam. At one point, she reached the impressive ranking of third in the world for singles and even held the top spot for doubles.
