Steve Rhoades, played by David Garrison, left the TV show “Married… with Children” due to the actor’s decision to pursue other opportunities. David Garrison portrayed the character of Steve Rhoades, who was the neighbor and friend of the Bundy family, from the show’s beginning in 1987 until 1990.
Reportedly, David Garrison left the show to return to his theater roots and pursue his interests in stage acting. He was replaced by actor Ted McGinley, who played Jefferson D’Arcy, the new neighbor and Marcy’s new husband. The show continued its run with new characters and storylines.
