Davido said in a new interview that he is friends with his rival Wizkid, even though they have been feuding for a long time, which has made fans of both artists very divided.
When the DMW chief was recently interviewed on Lagos’ Beat 99.9FM, he disclosed that Wizkid calls him every week to see how he’s doing.
A joint tour between him and Wizkid will begin the following year, he continued. Additionally, Davido proposed that they collaborate in the future.
He said, “I would be lying to you if I told you that [the tour] is not in the talks. It’s looking like next year I think me and Wiz are probably going to drop a record. Shout out to my brother. He literally calls me every week and checks on me. Shout out to Wiz”.
Similarly, Wizkid shocked his followers by asking them to stream his new album, Timeless, just hours after it was released on March 31 while referring to Davido as his “brother.”
The seasoned Afrobeat artist dropped the album on March 31, 2023, and it’s already become popular on some digital streaming services.
Despite their protracted feud, Wizkid showed maturity by patting his industry on the back and asking his fans, commonly known as Wizkid FC, to support the new album. “Inside!! Y’all go listen to Timeless by my brother @Davido ,” he wrote.
