Rapper Sarkodie, who has won more accolades in Ghana than anyone else, has been nominated for ten prizes at the upcoming 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, or Vgma, which will be held live at the Grand Arena Auditorium on May 13, 2023. On the weekend of March 19th, 2023, the candidates were announced at the Grand Arena Auditorium. Sarkodie, the most distinguished artist in Africa, was nominated for 10 awards, one of which was Artiste of the Year.
Rapper Sarkodie Nominations include artist of the year, collaboration of the year, international collaboration of the year, Vodafone’s most popular song of the year, best music video of the year, hip-hop song of the year, record of the year, album of the year, and best hip-hop/hip-life artiste of the year. Produced by Charterhouse Ghana Limited and funded by telco behemoths Vodafone Ghana’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) program is widely regarded as Ghana’s most prestigious multicultural and music awards event.
At this year’s ceremony, winners will be honored for their great work in more than 30 categories, including reggae and dancehall artist of the year, highlife artist of the year, hip hop artist of the year, vocalist of the year, and more.This year’s event will be a one-night show at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, May 13.It will air live on TV3 and other affiliate media houses.
