Popular Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly known as ‘Basketmouth’ has eulogized comedian OB Amponsah, describing him as a “monster”.
Basketmouth is currently in Ghana and is preparing for his upcoming stand-up comedy show, titled “Baskemouth Unprovoked,” which will take place on April 8 at the Accra International Conference Centre. Speaking about his encounter with his colleague OB Amponsah, Basketmouth disclosed that he is yet to encounter a lot of Ghanaian comedians, but OB Amponsah is a genius in the field.
Basketmouth described OB Amponsah as a ‘great guy’, and disclosed how he has been an ardent follower of OB’s works, thereby citing one of his performances he witnessed in Nigeria as incredible.
Basketmouth further described OB as a “monster” in his field of work. “I have not really worked with a lot of Ghanaian comedians, but the few ones I have worked with delivered well. O. B. Amponsah was in Nigeria, and he nailed it. He represented you guys well. He was a monster, and he killed it. He is a great guy, and I love his work. He will be performing at my show as well,” he stated in an interview with HitzFM’s Andy Dosty.
